I am a bit Asus fan myself, I have never purchased a AOpen board, but I view Abit and Asus the tops in motherboards.

I am tooo An ASUS fan rock solid boards fab features and using them since sis and via used to have the best chipsets for Intel and Amd
Go in for a board which satisfy your needs not which is necesalarly expensive or has feature which you willl not be using..
this is my 2 cents worth.

Go in for a 955 chipset based board not 915 or 925 board as most of the new processors willl not run on them
models you will have to go to the asus site or aopen site and we can delibraste on that, further.
