Windows 7 vs Vista

Want to update to Windows 7. Have Toshiba tablet PC with Vista. OneNotes crashes often. Would Windows 7 help?

  1. maybe, maybe not
    system specs plz
also would not use upgrade unless you got a lot of data you don't want to lose, fresh install is better, you won't drag any of Vista's issues/faults into your 7 installation
  2. i always recommend a fresh install.
You can use a Win7 upgrade disk, and serial key to do a fresh install. Just create a second partition on your hard drive, install win7, and then transfer all your important files from one OS to the other at your leisure. Its what i did.
  3. Hi melmelan,

No guarantees that the upgrade will fix the crashing issue, but it should as OneNote is fully compatible with Windows 7. I agree with others that a clean installation is the way to go. I'd also recommend running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to make sure your tablet is ready to run Windows 7.

    Cheers,
