Unable to install Need For Speed Most Wanted

When i tried to install NFS MW, click on Autorun.exe throws error as 'A PROBLEM OCCURED WHEN TRYING TO TRANSFER THE FILE 'E:\GAMES\NFS MW\AUTORUN.EXE' FROM THE MEDIA. DO YOU WANT TO RETRY TO COPY THE FILE, OR CANCEL THE INSTALLATION?' with options RETRY and CANCEL.

Please let me know how ro solve this problem. Not only this game, I am unable to install any of the games in my PC.

Please..Please help me.

What is your Operation System?

My guess is that you should try right clicking on Autorun.exe and choosing the "Run as Administrator" option if you are using Vista or Windows 7.

Duckmeister is right. Also, if this is happening with every game, add your (CD Drive:\Autorun.exe) Autorun file to your windows firewall and anti-virus firewall exception lists. That could also help. If all else fails, back up everything and scratch install your PC.

Thanks to Duckmeister and klosteral. The OS is windows XP. I will follow what you said, lets see if it works fine for me.

I tried doing all what you said but no use.....not sure why it is still throwing the same error

What about locating the setup.exe file and running that? Any other exe files failing? All else fails, you can try repairing the OS.
