Appearantly the company that produced this codec has starting charging for this codec for those with Win XP SP1 and higher, not certain with SP2 since I dont that junk. Its such a cheap licence fee too so why would billy money-bags be soo stingent? Sure they posted a special update for those thata need the codec after SP1 but it does nothing.
Sure that you probably dont use this codec much but this codec has been with you for years for FREE and there are still some programs/games that use the bloody codec.
If you use WinXP SP1 and higher and notice crashes/glitches in the cinemovies of your games then you may wanna look into this.
