Hi , Why can't I win a race in Dirt 2?
I'm up to 30 seconds slower than other users.
I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO Joystick.

Here's my specs;
Windows 7 Ultimate 64- bit
Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz LGA 1366
ASUS P6X58D-E
A-DATA Gaming Series 6GB
HIS Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5

Settings and fps don't mean squat when you are slower then the other racers.

I've done enough 'practising' I've got over 200 points, in multi-player, and I've done the Dirt Tour 3 times.
And I can't beat a noob.
It's very frustrating.

Last racing game I played, before Dirt 2, was Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit from the late '90s. And because of the odd controlling with a keyboard (use to have a steering wheel and pedal setup) I ended up setting the difficulty to Easy. I don't think you'll be able to make as much money or get as money points, but at least you can play new tracks once you beat the old ones, and buy a few new cars. Have you messed with the difficulty settings?

From experience.... if you don't have a wheel you can't drive to your potential.

Don't break. You rarely actually have to break. Its more about the line that you take and when you start the turn.
