So i been playing some dead rising 2 lately and by default the settings are on medium with vsync on, the games plays smooth when im killing zombies etc etc but when i go inside a building/store and the safe house the frame rate drops, shouldn't this be the other way around? it doesnt make sense im running Q6700 2.66 overclocked to 3.2 GTX 460 sc SLI 4GB ram windows 7 64bit with the latest video card software, i should be able to run the game on MAX no problem :/  any ideas?

From reviews I have read, the game was created with those problems. Not sure if there is a real fix for it. I plan on getting it in the next few days and will post my results.

Sorry, I was thinking of the PS3 reviews I have read, like this one:

"While it's running and looking way better than it did a few weeks ago, Dead Rising 2 still suffers on the performance side. The framerate can be sluggish and the models can look blocky."

Still, if it does it on one system...

well the ps3 software and video card is now OLD, still should run smooth with dead rising 2, i played uncharted 2 and it runs very smooth, i guess it depends on how the game is created..

Just got the game and only played thru the first couple of levels, but I did notice the occasional fps drop for a second or two. Happens when going thru certain doors for me. Doesn't happen often, but it's there. When in the safe house it has been ok. Averaging between 55-60fps. Have everything set to high, with 4x AA and 4x MS, 1920x1080.

I haven't experienced a major drop, and for all I know, i stay above 60fps constantly. This is at 1920 x 1080, everything maxed out with 4x aa.

U checking your framerate with FRAPS? What kind of setup you have?

Some issues are the blur effect, when it's on it causes framerate problems.

I just finish playing the game and never encountered any performance drop though I just ran it at medium settings with 1360 768 res.
