If it's true. It's probably related to the fact that SLI mobos use the best nForce4 chips (nVidia marks the best "binned" nForce4 as SLI). Maybe the SLI mobo design is a bit better (higher quality components, better signal quality, etc...)
meh most ppl are here so more likely more ppl will see this and reply to it(i do need a somewhat quick response as that i'm hoping to order today when my dad come home), and cides i post stuff as i go through the mobo manual lol, and i founded ou that if a thread gets too long (for question thread anywas, no throse comment or debate thread) ppl tends to ingore it (or in some cases forgot what was asked because it was so long and ppl here are not tech support guys, they got tones of other things to do) so might as well start a new one with clear title and get more responses
meh ony 4 or 5, but when i get my parts i probelly start a thread if i run into any installiation problems so that no one is mad (and i probelly won;t be as in need for a quick response cuz first thing i be taking all the old part out of the case and into a nice box i got from food basic and hook it up to the inter net to provide THG access lol) while i install the parts in my living room (hopefully mom or dad won;t mind their floor littered with stuff for awhile and the do won't feel too bad if i roped off the area so he can;t get in) or maybe i just do it on my bed lol
Make sure when you transfer the new parts into that old case that you give the old case a good cleaning. Try to keep it as clean as you can. Eventually the inside of the rig will get all full of dust and will clog up the fans and get all over everything. So its always best to try to start as clean as possible while its easy to clean now.
Fortunetly, the chipset isn't the only thing that makes a mobo good for OCing.
DFI is good at bios, and using great quality caps, and v-regs.
Since the north bridge doesn't do memory any more, the chipset is less critical. Dropping the HTT to 3X is no big deal.
You may not be able to sqeeze every possible hz out of your chip, but first time OCers seldom can.
hehe hopefully i can change that, or just get enough processing power to beat some crappy "dual processor" POS my dad's company has, because according to my dad, it feels like its running slower than the workstations they get and they don't even use it for anything.... i wana see the spec of their workstation and that weird two processor computer
try doign some intensive CAD programs and u'll notice now multi cpu/dual core cpus stand out... run your regular a64 against some dual core/ multi cpu workstations and u'll come crying to ur grandma... unless of ourse its like 2 P3.. 1ghz... then MAYBE u'll have an advantage ;D
