Hello.

Will a Zalman 7700cu cPU cooler fit my Asus P5WD2 Premium mobo? I can find my mobo in the compatible or the incomplatible list on Zalman's webpages. Do anybody have this cpu cooler and this motherboard?

Do you already have the board? Zalman might not list every single board it's compatible/incompatible with. But I know they do list guidelines so one can check themselves. http://www.zalmanusa.com/product/cooler/7700-775MBlist_eng.htm
Right up at the top they state,
(1) No motherboard components with a height greater than 39mm (1.53inch), as well as the PSU, disk drives, VGA card, and RAM should be present within a 68mm (2.68inch) radius from the center of the CPU.
(2) Distance between the side of socket 775 and the PSU must be at least 44mm.
If you don't have the board, one way is look at the other boards on Zalman's compatible list. Very few boards if any have a "one of a kind" design/layout. So there are bound to be other boards with the same layout as the P5WD2. For example, looking on Zalman's list, the P5GD2 is compatible. Looking at pics of the P5GD2 and P5WD2 they are the same layout, at least as far as the surrounding socket area. If one board is compatible and another board has the same layout, logic would lean toward the 2nd board also being compatible.

I have seen in the QA forum to Zalman and see that the 7700Cu and the 7700AlCu will fit the Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard.
So then all is OK. But I read that somebody gets temperatures up to 70 (celsius) so I think my CPU will not be any cooler than that.

Then they are having other problems. Even the Intel heatsink will keep temps under 70c if the case airflow is ok.
