Hello

I have a Compaq Persario 4LCXE1. It is a Intel Solano i815e. I want to put in a new motherboard and processor. Is that possible and what ones are able to go into it. Also once I put in the new stuff will I be able to still use the Comapq restore disk.

Look at the back of the case. If it looks like some kind of ATX layout, it probably is. If it has four card slots on the case (NOT the board), the case is Micro ATX. If the case has seven card slots, it's full ATX.

You'll probably have to split the hard drive LED, power LED, and power switch leads from a one-piece connector to put them on a non-Compaq board.
