hello, sorry, I'm pretty new to this. I don't know what this screen is called:

I just bought a new pc today -- I bought all components except the hard disk.

When I got home, I got the hard disk from my other pc and hooked it up to the new one, hoping that everything will go fine but then I could not get past this screen.

I checked the jumper setting -- it was correct.

I checked the boot sequence: 1st boot device is hard disk.

Could it be another setting in the BIOS that causes this "freeze"?

It says floppy disk fail. Do you have a floppy installed? If so, maybe the cable is backwards. If not, there's a bios setting to disable the floppy check.

Hope it helps.

Mike.
