Hi. I occasionally hear a barely audible beep on my HP Pavilion zx5000
laptop. It begins after I boot up or bring the computer out of
hibernation, and doesn't have any particular pattern; it simply beeps
quietly and apparently randomly for long periods of time. I contacted
HP customer service, and was told to update my BIOS. After doing this,
the beep seemed to go away for a few months, but then came back again
yesterday. Overall, the computer seems to be functioning perfectly.
The constant nature of the beeping, though, makes it difficult to work
for long periods of time on the computer. This beep doesn't seem to be
a normal computer beep; I can just barely it (it's not a loud beep that
may be a part of a beep code). As I began typing this post, the beep
when away yet again! Does anyone have any clue what this could be?
