Doom shutdown

Sorry for my bad english...but i'm italian.
There aren't a ng in Italy only for Doom.
This is my problem: I have a 780 mb di ram in a Amd Athlon 2200. From two
weeks the game has this problem: in a indefiny point of the game Doom3
shutdown. It close by itself. What is the problem?

ATI Radeon and fast write enable? You have updated your grapic cards
driver on last 2 weeks? Yep, on default they have fast write enable -->
do not work.

The Omega Drivers (http://www.omegadrivers.net) disable Fast write by
default I think, which is probably why they make ATI cards work with
Doom3 so well.

Plus, they're tweaked =)

Amd Athlon 2200 XP Plus
789 mb of ram
40 gb of HD
Video card: Nvidia Gforce 4000 128 mb
