Hi everyone,
I am looking into upgrading my rigg.
Im getting a 3800+ X2 , 7800GTX and im staying with my ram.
Im looking for a mobo that can really crank out every last drop of performance from all my components.
SLI doesnt intrest me much.
So far I have my eye on the DFI Lanparty nforce4 ultra mobo.
any suggestions are more than welcomed.
thank you.

(the ASUS website is down today)

You don't need to start with 2 video cards.

In various places, I do occasionally see tech reports
recommending only 2 DIMMs for best dual-channel DDR
performance, instead of 4. But, there are some techs
who will argue this point.

Since these AMD CPUs have on-chip memory controllers,
memory latency makes a bigger difference for overall speed
than is the case with the latest Intel CPUs.

Best thing is to start with the Qualified Vendor List
in the motherboard manual (free copy on-line at the
ASUS website), then cross-check with the various
hardware reviews now published on the Internet.

FYI: I haven't built any X2 machines yet: I just
read a lot :) Superlative reviews are the norm
for that CPU. Good luck!!
