I've been given a laptop from my friend to fix but I'm completely stumped.... the damn thing won't even turn on and when the AC adapter is plugged in the 3 LED's on the front just constantly flash. I'm guessing this is some sort of error message like the beep codes in a desktop. Even rang the Dell helpdesk but they where useless, as expected!

Anyone with a clue about a possible solution at all would be a real help.... even suggestions.... or a whiskey!
