GTA 4 or GTA liberty city

Hi,

I wanted to play the games GTA 4 or GTA episodes from the liberty city. As I heard that the GTA episodes from the liberty city contains both the GTA 4 games, please give me a suggestion as to which of the two games (GTA 4 or GTA episodes from the liberty city) should I get for myself.

GTA IV (and Episodes, for that matter) requires a higher end system, but if you have that, then get both and start with GTA IV. I'm in the middle of playing Episodes, and there are quite a few references to scenes and characters from GTA IV. Great games!

Pentium D dual core 2.8ghz
3GB DDR2 800Mhz ram
500GB SATA HD
1GB Geforce 9500gt DDR2


Can I run both at 1280*1024 resolution 17" monitor?
