i have a celeron, intel 845gv, socket 478 chipset mb, is it possible to use a different intel chipset if i get a new mb? does the chipset have to be exactly the same as the one i have right now? if not, any suggestions on a mb. help please..

You have to tell these people which Celeron, whether your case is ATX or Micro ATX, and whether or not you need onboard graphics. Your best replacement would likely be something with an 865 series chipset.

Listen to Crashman, he's right on all counts.
For ATX, without graphics, I would recommend the Abit IS7. Great board, reasonable price.
