I use Doomsday to load my Doom WADs... and noticed it has a pretty handy
online interface. But when I attempt to update the server list from the
only Master URL I know (the one that's there by default,
www.doomsdayhq.com), there are no games. Does anyone play this anymore?

Does this work with people who are using the generic version of Doom
(those who don't use Doomsday) by connecting via IP?

Thanks

I have (dedicated server) hosted this sometimes; Doom II co-operative:
"Tuomittu 2 - co-op".

I think this Doomsday is so new system to someone or they just do not
know about this. Every time I host my server there are many players. But
I am not so good host/server becouse my ADSL is only 512/512 kpbs.

Seems that good game need better support for dedicated server options.
In my case I host this game with powerfully PC, but becouse it is server
it do not have good graphic card. So many games have GUI system to start
host mode. In Doom 3 it needs just only 64 MB of RAM. LOL! And my server
have 16 MB. LOL part 2. I know only one game what have very good options
for dedicated server and remote control. It is Unreal Tournament 2004.
And if we look at how many players there are - there are huge. If we
look about Doom 3, we can calculate gamers with fingers. Huge different.
And all about good support for dedicated server.

Multigame --> long living game and years
Single player mode game --> it death about 3 month
