Williams funfest 1000 reel not resetting

i'm restoring a 1973 williams funfest pinball machine that i bought for 50 bucks the guy told me i would never get it working and to part it out so this is my first pinball machine and i lovie fixing it. i got everything going great except the 1st player 1000 score reel wont reset it counts fine they all roll to the next number but when i start a new game all the reels reset except the 1st player 1000 reel checked 0-9 contacts all are on the money. any help from a true pro would be great. thanks zoomcat
