HALF LIFE 2 nonsteam

Hello, i have hl2 downloaded already installed and i cant see it at Steam, i have placed it at ..\steam\steamApps\(myusername)\Half-Life2 , is there any wrong with the directory, or thats the prob?

You placed the game in the wrong directory, don't install the game in the Steam folder.. Just install the game on your C: drive and reboot, open Steam and it should be there.
