Crysis 2 graphics engine less demanding than the first game?

I heard that the CryEngine3 will be less demanding on PC hardware than the CryEngine2. Making it easier to max out, even with currently existing hardware.

I remember the first Crysis could not be played at high resolutions until Two or Three GPU generations later. Will Crysis 2 make this same mistake?

More about crysis graphics engine demanding game
  1. No one quite knows although seeing as it is now a multi platform game it will probably be dumbed down. Also, the first games approach is not a mistake, it is how pc gaming should be.

This is probably your third or fourth post on this exact same topic. It has quite honestly been debated to death. For pity's sake, can we wait until the game is actually released?
  3. This is the same question you were asking in this thread is it not?
