I have an Asus A7N8X-X mb, and i'm trying to upgrade the Bios.

The problem is that I formated a diskette in WinXP as a System disk, and when I restart i get a "Disk I/O error. Replace and press a key".

I tryed to format the diskette in a MS-DOS prompt, but it does't recognice the /S command.

What a hell can be wrong?

Download a BIOS Flashing Floppy Disk Creator from here and use it.

That disk Sys Files Only Disk, just gets you to the DOS aspect of the computer to execute the flash from either a .bin file and the Flashing Utility stored on another Floppy or on the C:\> drive itself.

Look under the second header;

Driver Free Disk For Bios Flashing

By the way thoroughly read the M/B websites Flashing Instructions before you undertake flashing a BIOS, this is a serious step that could render your M/B Toast.

In the case of a failed M/B BIOS Flash, Do Not Turn the Computer OFF!
