Bad Company 2 server errors

I booted up BFBC2 on my PC and wanted to play some multiplayer. I tried joining probably over 250 servers and kept getting this error message every single time.

"NOTICE, connection to the game server has been lost. Please check your network connection and try again".

I was finally able to join a game, after trying 250 different servers.

I have a high speed fiber optic connection, and a fast gaming PC. What the hell is going on?

Your firewall,try alt tabbing if you have McAfee,and it will say if you want to allow internet connection to the game. If you have a different virus protection software,try looking it up on google.
