I'm getting a Gigabyte GA-2CEWH. I have a Fortron Source FSP530-60gna. Do I have to get one of those fancy EPS/SSI PSUs or could I get away with an adapter? Would the latter be wise? I probably won't utilize SLI now, but perhaps I will in the future.

Your PSU is fine, but you might need the 24-pin adapter. The specifications are EPS12v/ATX 2.1 or something...the first adds 24-pin and the other adds 24-pin plus the 6-pin PCI-Express power header.

Well then I guess I'll need 2 adapters. As long as it won't do any damage or cause any instabilty, that is the least expensive option.

Ooh. I just downloaded the manual for this mobo and it has an 8 pin 12v connector.

Get another adapter!

That's just a newer EPS specification too.

Maybe you should have started off with the FSP-550...those were EPS12v to begin with.

Yippee! More adapters! Hindsight is 20/20. Had I known I was going to build a dually I would have gone with the 550. Although, it still doesn't come with a 6 pin PCI-E connector. So I'd still have to get an adapter.
