WoW Choppy game play

I just picked up a ati 5770 i have a AMD athlon 2 x4 and 6 gigs of ram.

I started running wow at max specs but in places like Dalaran I lose all of my fps and on putricide last night I was jumping between like 10 - 30. I was running at about 60 degree's so I'm gonna assume thats not the problem, any ideas?

Edit: I also upped my PSU to 600W I was also running games like Borderlands and Starcraft 2 absolutly fine and max.

Try using GameBooster http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html I had a friend that had the same problem with choppy gameplay and this program fixed everything. Its worth a try... It stops all other programs that are running on the side while you are playing and concentrates all the PC's "firepower" at "WoW".

Which, unless he has an anti virus running a check, 6gb of ram and a quad should be fine without Gamebooster.
