HP & Win7 compatability.

I have a hp 6500 printer and it WAS working fine with vista but now I have win7 ultimate and it won't install. I have the cd and I went to explore cd and changed the setup to compatability for vista and run as admin. It starts to work and then when it checks for pc requirements it tells me it's not compatable. What do I do. It's a new printer that we must use.
