AOE:TC Isn't working.

Hello,I've decided to start playing the game again, and for some reason it won't run. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game but still nothing changed. The game begins to run and finishes loading, but once the title video is supposed to run, a box with an X in it appears, but with no writing in it, and the game stops running.

System specs? Operating system? Need more info please.
