Steam folder was gone.

I just installed New Veags today and it crashes after the intro so I went looking for the install folder so I could try some fixes but the Steam folder was gone. Searched my whole computer and searched for Civ 5 and L4D along with New Vegas and I couldn't find any installation folders.

So I removed steam with Add/remove software and it removed my 3 games as well which is fine. I then re-installed steam and a folder has shown up. Anyone ever have this problem before?

I have Win7 64bit also. I have never seen this happen before.

Probably something like windows defender, or parental controls, my mate enabled it on my computer and it deleted all my games, not just locked...

My games weren't deleted or anything and I could play all my steam games but there was no folder for steam. I went so far as to search each drive folder by folder but found nothing. Amazed really.

Civ5 and Left for Dead 2 were also steam games that worked but couldn't find where they had been installed.
