Whilst I wait for a DDR mobo to come out, I would really like to get a system up & running.

Can anyone recommend a good value/low cost/overclockable motherboard to tide me over for 6 months or so.

The Gigabyte board is the best Socket A that's significantly cheaper than the Asus/Abit boards, in my experience.

Good value and low cost is easy it's the overclockable bit that makes it difficult. Probably your best bet is an Epox EP-8KTA+, these boards seem to start at about $102 on pricewatch. Make sure you get the EP-8KTA+ and not the EP-8KTA, only the EP-8KTA+ has the necessary dip switches for changing the multipliers.
