Keyboard and mouse?

I'm making a gaming rig of my own for the first time and I wanted some opinions on keyboards and mice. I don't plan on any super-hardcore gaming but I do want to have something that's pretty good. Games that I will be playing include Fallout: New Vegas, Spore, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Mass Effect 2, and stuff like that. I want to try and keep the total below $120, if possible.

Also, would it be better to have them be wired or wireless? Methinks wired would be best, since there could be lag involved with wireless components.

I was thinking of maybe getting the Logitech MX 518 gaming mouse and the Logitech G110 gaming keyboard. The mouse is something I'd probably use, but I don't think I'd have much of a use for the macro keys on the keyboard. I've never actually used macros before, so I don't even know if they'd be useful for any of the games I'd be playing. Any opinions?

Haven't used the hardware you mentioned, but here's the kb and mouse I went with. Not cheap, but fits around your budget, and are both great all-around devices.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... - Saitek Eclipse II

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... - Razer DeathAdder 3500

Looks like the kb is cheaper than it use to be, and would definitely fit well under your 120 mark. Also, check out full reviews for it on the web.

The keyboard you mentioned is currently sold out...
And the DeathAdder 3500 is pretty much just like the Logitech X518... but more expensive. >.<

I found the DeathAdder on sale at Fry's for $35, so it was cheaper than what Newegg shows (and I've seen it for that price a few times there). But if the x518 is the same thing minus a few dollars then go for it.

You can find the Saitek keyboard at Amazon or Tiger Direct for about the same price. Also available at Fry's.

Wired is better. I play games with a wireless mostly because I wanted to reduce clutter and sometimes the mouse kinda hangs momentarily. I kinda have to shake the mouse back & forth quickly to get it going again. I'm not a hardcore gamer.

I have the Logitech Performance Mouse MX
