Well, Apple has been suing almost everyone lately. But it seems they are not going to get away with it in China.

"Apple bought the rights to use the trademark from Proview Taipei in 2009 with a payment of 35,000 pounds (54,616 U.S. dollars). However, Proview Shenzhen still reserved the right to use the trademark on the Chinese mainland. The two sides have been entangled in a legal battle ever since."

That seems pretty clear to me. However, I wish the article said what kind of product is associated with the Chinese trademark.

Update: It appears that the name was registered for Proview's product but it doesn't look like they have a product on the market and the registration expire on 20th June this year.
