ABIT KA7-100 Cold Boot no video GeForce2

Can you help me? I have an original ABIT KA7-100 with this compatibility problem with my Hercules GeForce2 GTS 64 Mbs card. ABIT knows there is a problem, and a fix. ABIT’s statement is the following:

ABIT have recently discovered an incompatibility between our KA7 (and KA7-100) and some brands of GeForce 2 GTS chipset based graphics cards. The symptom of this is that on a cold Boot the video card will fail to initialise causing the system to beep, reporting a video error. Upon resetting (you may have to reset a few times) you will get a picture. The machine will then boot and function normally while left on.

The system will need a slight modification in order to cure this inconvenience.

I am a electronic technician by trade and know how to solder on PCBs. I would like to know what the modification is so I can do it myself, and save weeks of down time while they repair the board.
