Hello everyone

I have a weird problem with Fallout New Vegas. I can play it for 2 minutes or 4 hours, but the problem is that, when i enter any building or something new appears my PC freezes. And the weirdest thing when it freezes, my PC makes a rebooting sound, but nothing happens, sometimes after the sound i can walk in the game for about 5 secons and it freezes.
Everything else works great i get about 60 fps on ultra setting with Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering off, and it happens only in this game.

Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
ADM Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+ 2.80 GHz
2Gb ram
500 GB Hard disk space

what os are you using? Try lowering your setting. I also heard that Fallout New Vegas is buggy. But I don't know cause it runs fine on my pc.

Try installing the K-Lite Codec Pack.

Fallout NV had performance issues at the time of its release. If you fixed this issue with the d3d9.dll and pathed the game you need to delete the d3d9.dll file.

Ok, the same thing happened with Metro 2033, didn't play it for a long time, and got Nvidia 3d Vision and the same story... Loading... *PC restarting Sound*, Freeze.

Anyone got any idea? Maybe it's my Hard drive or GPU?

Edit: same thing happened in TES IV: Oblivion
