I feel the need to upgrade.
Please advise on best choice.
I can only do one of the following.
Should I:
A) Upgrade memory from 256MB of PC800 to 512MB of PC800.
B) Upgrade cpu from P4 1.6A to a P4 2.0A.

Thanks

I would say upgrade the memory. But I guess it really depends on what you do. What apps and progs do yo do.

OC dude, OC.
You're on a useless performing comp right now if you don't OC, that's how I see it, since 1.6GHZ stock P4s whether NW or Willy, suck!

Instead of getting more RAM or a faster CPU should I swap out my Intel D850MDL motherboard for an ASUS P4T533-C with audio and LAN motherboard.

Buy more RAM and OC the sucker.

My peltier is so powerful I get Bose-Einstein Condensate beneath it  .

Indeed, a new mobo, preferably the Asus P4S8X uses the nice SiS 648 chipset with DDR400 support, and has performance of near-PC1066. Overclocking isn't too bad though to most people, 2.4GHZ is nearly guaranteed.

I decided with option A.
I purchased two 256MB 40ns PC800 Samsung RDRAM RIMMs.

Who wants four 64MB 45ns PC800 Samsung RDRAM RIMMs?
See classifieds forum for more info.
