Having just bought a 64bit laptop the game seems a bit jerky so
installed it on my other pc 2.4athlon with Gforce card, its actually
worse than the lappy. He wipps out the gun and blindly blasts away no
where near the intruder and the mouse seems to lose control or has no
control. The laptop plays counter strike and other such games with ease.

Ideas welcome.....cheers n beers!

What kind of GeForce is in the desktop and what kind of video does the
laptop have? If the GeForce is a 4 or earlier and especially if it's an
MX, you're in trouble, most onboard graphics on laptops are pretty week,
though there are some that can handle Doom 3.
Are you comparing Doom 3 to Counter Strike, a game based on a six year
old graphics engine, or Counter Strike: Source?

People of the United States! We are Unitarian Jihad! We can strike without warning. Pockets of reasonableness and harmony will appear as if from nowhere! Nice people will run the government again! There will be coffee and cookies in the Gandhi Room after the revolution.
