CRYSIS PLAYABLE ON RIG?

I was wondering if these specs in my gaming rig would be able to run crysis smoothly

I have a Gateway P-7805-u FX with:

Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit
DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz (4GB)
Intel Core 2 Duo P9600 2.8Ghz
320 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 7200 rpm
Nvidia Geforce 9800M GTS 1 GB GDDR3 SDRAM (1440 x 900)
High Definition Audio

Run on Medium,High,Ultra??

high will do the magic....the fps would be like 20-35, make a benchmark and show the results

There's a demo and benchmark...
The 9800Mobile? You could play on high, but it'll be on a lower resolution then 1440x900 for decent framerates.

Best to have that laptop run the game at 1280x800 res with medium settings IMO. I would mark the average FPS when you test it for about 10-15 minutes in gameplay. If you're averaging 45-60 FPS then I would leave it at that settings. Any higher I suggest looking into a 1440x900 resolution and maybe possible switching to High settings.

I've heard great reviews about this gaming laptop but I wouldn't try pushing it too hard.

3gb, should upgrade that, unless you're running on a 32bit windows, but I think 3gb is still strange.

Just the same, I can run Crysis on Enthusiast, AAx4/AFx4, and at 1280x720 with a 4650/4gb|DDR2/Athlonx2|2.4GHz/17"/320gb :3

you can run crysis but what FPS your going to get depends alot on the settings.. High will make a 9800 mobile gpu run slow and sloppy IMO
Go with medium settings and you should be able to play the game but if you are just using crysis as a benchmarking tool then go high and you can download a few benchmark addons for crysis if im not mistaken so you can get a better idea of how your machine will run other games.

shadow on low and a few on high and other on medium and u will get 40-60 fps its more than playble i guess

but after all its about u either u can play on low fps or not

You just pointed out why your previous comment was pointless. There's a difference from comparing your system which is different and the same system the op is running.

for me at least Crysis is one of the few fps games that is still easily playable at low Fps. for you i would say you can run it at high with that resolution assuming 25-30fps is playable for you. if not then just lower it to 1280x800 res

It will run. I remember I had a RIG which has lower specs compare to yours and still I enjoyed playing crysis with a little tweak on my settings. it set to a medium settings but added some tweaks can't remember the site.
