Is Fallout New Vegas patched up yet?

Hey guys, i plan on getting Fallout New Vegas for xmas and wanted to know if the issues w/ crashing and the really major ones are fixed so far. it doesnt bother me to have a crash every few hrs but id like to know if the game is playable yet. i didnt preorder since i knew it was gonna be bugged, but its bethesda so wat are you gonna do lol.

The worst bug was severe performance issues and it was fixed by a patch from Steam.

You can get it, the first patch resolved most of the issues, games is good now-
