Running: Asus CUSL2, P3 800EB, 128meg PC133 Micron, SB Live, 3D Prophet 2 64meg.

In device manager under USB controllers, my computer lists the following in order:

Generic USB hub
Intel 82801BA/BAM USB Universal Host Controller - 2442
Intel 82801BA/BAM USB Universal Host Controller - 2444
USB Root Hub
USB Root Hub

Machine operates fine with the exception that it won't come back from standby. If I disable the 2444 controller, the duplications disappear as does the generic USB hub and the problem goes away.

Any idea what's going on here? No conflicts are ever reported, although something is obviously wrong. I've thought of re-assigning the 2444 controller's IRQ.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you checked your IRQ settings to see if there is an IRQ conflicts. How many usb devices do and have you had nay comunication conflicts that have locked up you PC.If so you may have an issue with chipset.Checkout http://developer.intel.com/design/software/drivers/platform/inf.htm for further review. It has to do with a timing issue with Windows and the chipset.I have had this patch fix various issues with the 82801 chipsets
