Way ta go, VZW! I finally got the $31 you overcharged me in a printer
check, yesterday!

It's only fair for the rest of you, you know. Send them just your payment
stub, with a cover letter that it will take 3-8 weeks until your accounts
payable department gets around to cutting them the check for this month's
cellular service. After all, if you overpay them on your way out the door,
that's what they are gonna do to you!....(c;

Sure hope all these primetime calls to my other Alltel buddies aren't
hittin' my minutes used.....We've tested Alltel from out in the boonies of
Eastern SC for hours!

You overpaid. You said so yourself. You weren't overcharged.

Mine took about a week less than yours did.

It's much better than your useless posts, telling us how stupid everyone
besides yourself is.

It makes a lot of sense if you read Larry's posts from the past couple weeks.
Google Groups is your friend, Bunky.

You can either, from home phone, call 800 alltel9 and navigate through
the prompts (1-number-1-4-zip-1-1 IIRC) or from the cell #MOU (minutes
of use) and navigate (zip-1-1 IIRC) and it will give you your current
prime/m2m/NW minutes. I've found the #MOU to work in Verizon areas
pretty well, but not on others.

It seems to be current to the minute for usage in Alltel's area, REAL
CLOSE in Verizon's area (may be instant) and who knows when REALLY
roaming. I was in Oregon in July, and it was not in my August bill,
but was in the September one. (Kinda messes up the plans to buy 100
minutes, doesn't it?)

AFAIK, that situation is covered in the "fine print" where they say
time is billed when they get it from roaming partners.

Good to have you!

You will probably love all the litting "fine print" features you have now
with Alltel if you think Verizon is bad.

I told her that before she dumped VZW. She now knows why I call GSM,
Geographically Selective Mobile

Yes, Larry, I'm aware. Cingular's build-out in the upstate is less
than complete, and the loss of one single cell site (as happened a few
months ago in Pelzer) can leave you with absolutely no signal. The
point of the comment was her GSM leaves her with no signal far more
often than the CDMA she left behind.
