hi, I just used CPU-Z to verify my newly bought DDR400 512MB RAM.

under frequency it reported 200Mhz

in the SPD timings table it also reported 200Mhz

and in the MaxBandwidth it reported PC3200 (200Mhz)

is this normal, or do I have to set something up in BIOS to get it to 400Mhz? Or was I ripped off?

i believe it runs 200mhz and is equivalent to 400 mhz with dual channel, you might want to verify this with someone though.

Please, if I'm wrong somebody tell me.
DDR (double data rate) is only a half true term. The data is written twice per clock cycle going to the memory, but only once per clock cycle when reading it.
