Somewhat strange problem with an old ASUS P2B

The other day, my power supply died. I bought a new one, installed it, but system is refusing to boot - gives one long beep, which, if I remember correctly, is AGP error. Nothing comes up on screen. Tried replacing the graphics card (ATI Rage LT Pro) with another one (CL TNT) with no success - same beep code, same blank screen. Could the old power supply have fried something on motherboard as it died? Is there any possible way of dealing with this short of replacing the motherboard?

Well what happened to the powersupply ? did it overheat ? or just stop working.
As for the Mobo it is very possible the motherbaord is defective. Also one long beep can mean in some cases yuor memory is defective though this is not very common.
Memory is mostly three short beeps...
I would try the mobo in a system that yuo know has got a non defective power supply . It could be yuo received a defective power supply yourself. Though i very doubt it reading yuor problem.

Hey man i dont know .. i just think i do !!
