What is the difference between VIA686A and B?

Reading anadtech.com it seems that both the 686A and 686B Super south bridges both have similar feature. Would anyone please explain the differences? Is the 686B better peforming or more stable?

686B is newer version on 686A and it supports ATA100 (100 Mbps) - higher hard disk transfer rate against ATA66 (66 Mbps) of 686A
