Help with k6-III+ and GA-5AX voltage settings

Hey, all, I was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me. I've found an excellent deal on a K6-III+ 450 MHz processor, and I have a Gigabyte GA-5AX mobo. I saw in a pretty old post that the mobo is in fact compatible with the chip using the F3 BIOS.

Reading the specs for the chip, the voltage needs to be either 1.8V or 2.0V. The manual for the mobo only has settings for 2.2V - 3.0V, but the Gigabyte website says it can support 1.3V - 3.5V. (www.giga-byte.com/products/ga5ax4.htm)

Anyone know the settings for the switches to get the 1.8V or 2.0V required for the K6-III+? I really appreciate it if you do!

According to the GA5AX manual, the settings for a K6/3 450 are the following

dipswitches 1,2,3 on 4,5 off 6 on and 7,8 off

Jumpers 6,7 should have positions 1 nad 2 joined
jumper 8 should have 2 and 3 joined and jumper 10 should have 1 and 2 joined.

This gives a voltage of 2.4v and a multiplier 4.5

The voltage on my rev 4.1 is adjustable from 1.3v upto 3.5v in 0.1 steps

K6 III and K6 III+ are different and run on different voltages. I think the K6 III runs at 2.3 or 2.4V while the III+ mobile version runs at 1.8- 2.0V. Be careful which you select as I am pretty sure the III+ won't like the 2.4V for very long.

Missed the + sign, for a voltage of 1.8v set jumpers 4 - 8 to the following
off, on, off, on, on = 1.8v

off, on, on, on, on = 2.0v

sorry about that.
