MSI K7T Pro2-A Issues

This is the weirdest motherboard I have seen to date. First off, it was impossible to enter the system setup with a chassis fan plugged into the motherboard. That issue cost me 15% restock on a replacement board. Second, the hard drives don't perform worth a damn in Windows. I can't FTP files from my server because it locks up and the PC speaker starts grinding. For giggles I installed FreeBSD and it works flawlessly. I have the latest via drivers and everything in. So it seems to be a software issue - but what? Anyone?

Running the k7tpro2-a with the 700mhz duron, I havent encountered any real hardships - the update from my ol mvp3 mobo went seamlessly.

The only quirk thus far has been the system fan monitor - ie the mobo doesnt recognize the system fan (cpu fan is recognized).

Also on boot up, win98se wants to install the pci to isa bridge, even though there is no isa slot.

Other than these two minor flaws Im as happy as a whistle. Ill holler if anything else turns up...
