I recently bought a Nokia 3589i from Verizon. I then bought a DKU-5
data cable on Ebay to use to download my contacts list to my PC and
upload images for wallpaper, etc. After installing the software and
trying to get it to work I realized that Verizon blocks the use of
this cable on these phones because they want you to use Get It Now.

So now my question is how do I use Get It Now to do those two simple
tasks.

I want to get personal pictures from my PC to my phone and download
(back up) my contacts list.

Can anyone tell me how to do that with applications on Get It Now.
What applications do I need to get? Is it possible?

Are you serious? Verizon crippled the Nokia phone also? Jesus, can't this
company just leave a phone alone and make it available to the customer to
have the ability to use all the god damn functions that phone has????
Pathetic. Can you even sync the phone with Outlook or the Nokia suite 6.2? I
mean your data/numbers/contacts?

You don't need to use GET IT NOW. Look in your phone browser then you'll see
a BREW directory. Goto the folder "en" then "shared". In there, you'll see
TONES and GRAPHICS. Copy whatever you want there. Looks like Verizon wanted
to hide this area but didn't with me because I always unhide hidden folders.
Yes, unhide your folders.
