XP and DX9c

I have windows xp sp2
Directx 9c
AMD 1.2 Athalon
Nvidia Geforce4 TI 4800SE 128mb
FMS 2.0
I think direct3d is the problim .
I can not see the plane in FMS the program starts fine and seems to work fine other then that.
I can see the prop and canopy on the plane but nothing else. The screen is all white also.
I have tried the DX diagnose and in the first part it uses DX7 and i see nothing there also but i do see the spinning box in the DX 8-9 tests.
I have the latest Nvidia drivers also.66.93
I have tried everything i can think of.
ANY IDEAS what the problim is?

I have found that if i turn off hardware acceleration i can see games fine and everything. BUT games runs real slow 2fps. With hardware aceleration it is all messed up but with high frame rates.
I have downloaded 3d Mark and it works great so this must be a software problim but what?

Can you use a system restore point to get rid of service pack 2 to see if it's the problem. If not there might be an entry in add remove programs to uninstall it I think.

The problim was there before i installed sp2 or even sp1.
Im now pretty sure the problim is with DX7 as DX8/9c work fine and the 2 games i have both need DX7 it seems
