Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to stream a game from a desktop to a low end laptop and still have playable frame rates? maybe something like remote desktop?

having tried to watch a movie via Remote Desktop and watching my efforts go up in a cloud of smoke, i highly doubt that you would be able to stream a game over Remote Desktop

There are commercials for some new game system to work this way.

www.onlive.com
I have no clue if its any good/etc
I'm at work, but google found this as well: www.streammygame.com
No clue how good that would be as its blocked at work.

onlive != streaming from your desktop to your laptop

onlive is from their servers to your laptop/desktop

Why ask the question then? Where have you seen this before?

Seen it done where, is the question? You should ask the person that did it for advice.

You could probably do it over a LAN with the right software - really remotely (i.e. over the internet) would be much less reliable IMO.
