I hv seen gaming on Console such as XBOX or PS2 but never owned it. I am a PC gamer. Recently my friend wanted to buy PS3 and I told him no and showed him some of my concerns however I am also doubtful if I was correct.

Putting across to you folks, ....what do u think about them.

Pros of PC over console.

1. Console gaming can be little better then PC gaming however the difference is marginal if your PC rig is good having a quad with 1 GB DDR5 VRAM and 4 GB RAM. + PC can be used for lots of other things.

2. PC games are cheap.

3. Almost all games do land up with a PC version while some go for XBOX and some for PS.

4. PC can be upgraded while console is a dead buy.

Pros of Console ..

1. Little better graphics.

2. Easy to move around in house as compared to PC.

3. Console as such is cheaper then a high end gaming PC.

Herr is correct, Phoenix doesn't quite have it all right.

Here's how it should be broken down, I'll put down your list and edit it:

Pros of PC over console.

1. PC's can perform many more tasks

2. PC games are cheap.

3. Almost every multi-platform game will have a PC Version

4. PC's can be upgraded over time

5. PC's are capable of MUCH better visuals, hardware depending of course.

6. PC games typically allow for modding, more options

Pros of Console ..

1. Little to no knowledge required for setting up and playing.

2. Easy to move around in house and between locations.

3. A Console, by itself, is cheaper then a high end gaming PC.

4. Games developed with hardware limitations in mind, most games run smoothly without worry...
Agree with you on most points, but there is no way the console has better graphics than the PC. The PC always wins in visual quality, unless of course your system is not capable of running the game with all the eye candy switched on. That is probably the console's main advantage: Games are designed to work on the console hardware specs, while PC owners have to upgrade their hardware to play certain titles.

Consoles are fuss free. PC's allow you to get the most out of most games.

PC's require knowledge to get the most out of them sometimes, whereas consoles just do what they're told mainly.

I like both sides of the coin, and will soon have the best of both worlds.

5. Online multiplayer support is typically more streamlined with less room for cheating/hacking.
