I just picked up a Soyo K7VTA with the multiplier switches
on it. I was wondering if anyone else out there has any
experience with it? Did it give you any trouble getting it
up and running? What is the largest HSF you can slap on it?
I'm contemplating the Swiftech MC370-0A. With the
multiplier switches, do you still need to close the L1 bridges?
Is it any good, or did I just buy parts for a really neat
toaster? :) If so, send raisin bread!

bc.

I have the K7VTA-B with a Duron 600 running at 950.The HS/fan is a CoolerMaster DP5-6H51. No problem getting the fan to fit. Board runs fine with a cpu temp of 38C after several hours use. Yes, you will still need to close the L1
bridges to overclock the cpu. After you install Windows,
install the VIA 4in1 drivers and you will be OK. I used ver
4.25 from the VIA website.
