From ATI 4770 512 to GTS 450

Hi,i have a budget gaming pc,and i want to upgrade my video card(XFX ATI 4770 512) i mostly play FPS games like call of duty black ops and MW2..is the gigabyte GTS 450 1 gig card a good option to keep down the cost?...thanks in advance

XFX HD 4770 512MB 128Bit, [11X-HD4770-512], PCIe

ASUS 20inch widescreen monitor 1600x900 res

You'll have better luck if you ask this in the graphics cards forum, but my opinion is that isn't a worthwhile upgrade. You're better off spending a little more for a GTX 460. Even a 5770 would be better than the 450. Stick with the 4770 and save your money if the 450 is all you can afford.

Well to be honest at 1600x900 the 450 isn't going to be that bad. But if you can, a 5770 should be a great performer for you.
