Horror/Survival Games

What Horror/Survival games would you recommend? I want to get into more horror genre's but I can't find any that I would call enjoyable or terrifying. It doesn't need to be new, but has to support widescreen obviously, as I remember some games that didn't fully support it, like Heretic.

Amnesia..Havent played it yet but as per the review..its not focused on action but the athmosphere of the game..like Silent Hill on 1st person..
